  | SpaSpa Book Awards 2013 have listed my book, Birthday Cake Disaster, as a contender for their Children's Fiction Award. The illustrations for the book have also been nominated in the 'Best illustrations' category - well done on that achievement to Emma KL Hunt. I had no idea about this at all until I was contacted tonight. It has been a lovely end to a perfect sunny Sunday! Do take a look and wish me luck at the next stage!   |

In the first Captain Sillyvoice adventure we included a parrot for readers to find in each scene, not to mention the mischievous mice popping up all over the place. In the next story we added the cheeky monkeys. In the new book, Captain Sillyvoice and the Sea Monster (coming soon!), we will be introducing a fantastic little frog.
